Outages were also reported in Japan, Malaysia, Singapoe, Vietnam, the Philippines, Australia and New Zealand. Later it was reported that even Facebook users in parts of the western United States and Canada couldn't log in to their favourite pages. Facebook posted a brief error message, but hasn't yet fully explained what happened.
